Algeria and Morocco: Abdelmadjid Tebboune calls for war against Morocco, Israel and France on Western Sahara border

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune spoke about the situation between Algeria and Morocco in a moon interview with a foreign channel. Speaking about the Kingdom, the Algerian Head of State said that relations between the two countries had reached a point of no return.

In an interview with an Algerian journalist, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune returned to his country's foreign relations and spoke naturally about his neighbor Morocco.

The Algerian president said relations with Morocco had reached a point of no return, adding that his country's position was nothing but a reaction, which meant that Morocco had raised it.

If it is generally inconceivable to see a country dare to talk about a state of no return with another country, it is inconceivable to hear that when it comes to two neighbouring countries, geographically connected together.

What we need to understand from his statement is that Algeria is in a position of war and wants to wage it. Since the unilateral disintegration of diplomatic relations with Morocco, several countries have attempted mediation, such as Saudi Arabia, and even the League of Arab States.

All these political initiatives, which Algeria has rejected, clearly do not want to settle its dispute with Rabat because of the normalization of relations with Israel.

The massive military budget approved for 2023 is the ultimate proof of this hostile intention while Algeria, at Al-Qaida, along with Egypt, is the most armed country in Africa.

On the other side of the border, in Morocco, we note in silence the escalation of tensions and warrior language, accompanied by concrete actions of institutional hatred towards the Kingdom.

International observers and the international community are witnessing this Algerian military strategy, which attacks Morocco for no reason, while attempting to position itself as a victim. It seems that the situation is fanciful because Algeria is the aggressor and believes that it is the aggressor.

Algeria's only criticism of Morocco is the restoration of its relations with the State of Israel, considering that Morocco has "restored the Zionist entity to its doors", as noted by Algerian officials and specialists. Apart from reprimanding Morocco, Algeria has done so for ages with Russia. Moreover, every State has the right to establish military alliances with the States it wishes without involving another State. These are sovereign decisions, and there is no accountability for anyone.

Moreover, Algeria adopts a striking stance of nonsense and contradictions in Morocco's condemnation of the formalization of its diplomatic relations with Israel.

While dare not do the same with other Arab and Islamic countries, led by Egypt and Jordan, which have printed their relations with Tel Aviv for many years.

Similarly, Algeria has not commented or condemned other Arab countries, such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain, for normalizing them with Israel. He's just attacking Morocco.

Surprising too, especially as many other countries have relations with Israel without publicly acknowledging it. Morocco does not hide them and has the courage and honesty to announce them.

The Algerian president was careful not to explain why his country had taken such a hostile attitude in Morocco, and what actions Rabat had taken that had provoked such reactions from Algeria.

He also avoided explaining Algeria's refusal to mediate and why it had not attempted to contact the Moroccan authorities to explain the differences between the two countries before moving towards the breakdown of diplomatic relations and the escalation in one direction.

It is a funny situation at all levels, and Algeria's narrative that claims to be "reactive" just does not hold up, because Algeria systematically rejected all the hands that King Mohammed VI gave in his speeches, all the words of brotherhood and goodwill that he has repeatedly expressed.

In fact, Morocco invited Algeria more than once to sit at a table to discuss the points that poisoned relations to try to correct them, without any reaction from the Algerian authorities.

In this context, it seems very difficult to believe that the problem will come from Morocco, but in fact Algeria adopts a war logic and voluntarily seeks to provoke the first skirmishes between the two countries to later assume the victim's role.
