 The disqualification of Algerian boxer Iman Khalif from  the 66 kg final at the World Championships in New Delhi, scheduled for Sunday, has sparked controversy and anger on social media  in Algeria. 

 

 "The exclusion of Algerian boxer Iman Khalif from the IBA World Boxing Championships was due to failure to meet the eligibility criteria," the IF said in a statement. "IPA respects its own rules and regulations, as well as the privacy and medical lives of  athletes, and therefore  IPA cannot disclose (details) violations of the eligibility criteria. this," continued the Federation's statement.

 In a press release, Algeria's Minister of Youth and Sports, Abd al-Rahman Hammad, said that "The International Women's Boxing Federation  is conducting an analysis.
