Morocco: Nasser Bourita interviews White House officials in Washington and tries to resolve Western Sahara issue and defeat Algeria

In the interest of Morocco's growing pursuit of its control over Western Sahara and the diplomatic defeat of Algeria, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Morocco living abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, met last Tuesday evening.

As part of his visit to Washington, D.C., with the United Nations national security adviser, Mr. Jake Sullivan, as well as President Biden special adviser and coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa region.

What are Morocco's and Algeria's latest developments on the question of Western Sahara?

According to Moroccan newspapers, discussions focused on ways to deepen and further diversify the strategic partnership between the United States and Morocco.

This Moroccan policy is in line with the common aspirations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and US President Joe Biden, for a stronger and constantly renewed alliance between the two countries.

The talks also provided an opportunity to discuss regional and international issues of common interest, as Morocco and the United States worked for peace, stability and prosperity, especially in the Middle East and Africa.
