North Dakota,Officer killed,two dead in fargo shooting
Police in Fargo, North Dakota, have confirmed that one officer has died and two others have been wounded following a shooting incident on Friday afternoon. The perpetrator was also killed, and a civilian is reported to have suffered severe injuries.
The Fargo Police Department stated that there will be a press conference on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and until then, they cannot provide any further details.
According to witnesses, a man fired at police officers until he was shot by other officers at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday. Shortly after, officers gathered evidence related to the shooting in a residential area located about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) away, evacuating residents as a precaution.

People who were present claimed to have observed and heard the sound of gunshots in the vicinity. Shannon Nichole, speaking to KFGO Radio, mentioned that she was in her vehicle when this occurred.
Nichole recounted that she witnessed the traffic coming to a halt and just as she began driving, she heard gunshots and observed the police officers falling. She further mentioned how her airbag deployed and a bullet pierced through her driver's side door.
Nichole claimed that a man forcefully took hold of her and insisted on immediately leaving the vicinity.
According to Chenoa Peterson, she and her 22-year-old daughter were driving when a man suddenly brandished a gun and started shooting at the police. Peterson described the terrifying moment as she heard the gunshots and exclaimed, "Oh, my God! He's actually firing!"
Peterson's initial reaction was to stop her vehicle and offer assistance, but the presence of her daughter persuaded her to continue driving. She expressed her uneasiness about the fact that being just 10 seconds earlier could have put her in that situation.
The quick shots of gunfire were recorded on surveillance footage provided by a Fargo resident named Allison Carlson.
While working by herself at a nail salon close to where the shooting took place, Bo Thi mistook the sound of gunshots for either fireworks or the noise of a motorcycle backfiring, without realizing the actual danger at that moment.
The recent alteration of a sign in Downtown Minneapolis, which now reads "This area allows the use of marijuana," has garnered attention and caused surprise.
Gregg Schildberger, the city's chief communications officer, expressed his gratitude for the patience and understanding of both the public and the community as the Fargo Police Department deals with the incident. He acknowledged that the situation is challenging for everyone involved and assured reporters that they are sharing as much information as they could at the moment. Schildberger also extended their appreciation for the messages of support received from the community for their officers.
Police departments and various local organizations throughout the area expressed their condolences to the Fargo police through Facebook.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz expressed his sympathy and solidarity through a tweet, conveying his condolences to the family of the Fargo police officer who tragically lost their life while on duty, as well as to the two injured officers and the community affected by this tragic and unnecessary event.
He further mentioned that Minnesota is prepared to assist in whatever manner possible.
